Guide to Circus School Byron Bay
Unleash your inner aerial artist at Circus Arts in Byron Bay with the help of owner Belinda, and her team of circus professionals.
Here, Circus Byron Bay have created a space that everyone in the family will simply adore.

Things to do at Circus Arts Byron Bay NSW
Here’s a quick overview of all the things you can learn or try at Byron Bay Circus Arts.
They have:
- trapeze rings
- silks for aerial work
- Olympic size trampoline AND a trampoline wall
- lyra
- 10 metre long tumbling track
- static trapeze
- enormous mat areas for tumbling, juggling and circus skills
- an indoor rock climbing wall with both automatic and manual belay systems
- a fully equipped gym
- access to yoga classes, and
- a FLYING TRAPEZE

CIRCUS ARTS CLASSES
Circus Arts Byron Bay Holiday Program
Circus experience is available in both the QLD and NSW school holidays periods.
You can book the kids (and the adults in your group) into full and half day circus programs at Byron Circus school
They offer:
- Ninja Parkour kids classes (working on working on strength, conditioning and mobility together with instruction on the techniques and skills to conquer each of the ninja obstacles)
- Flying trapeze sessions
- Activities and Games (including silent disco, and animal balloon twisting)
Book a session of indoor climbing, or turn up and pay for an hour or two in the kids play space.
Plus, take advantage of free indoor activities in Byron including free balloon twisting workshops.
Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
For ages 5 to 15.
Fruit is provided for morning or afternoon tea in all Byron Bay circus school programs.
Byron Circus Arts Kidspace
Lots of little kids adore the Kidspace Fun Zone most of all.
Access is only $8 for two hours. (Cheaper if you take a class at your visit too).
BYO socks for entry.
Circus Arts Play Area for Kids
Inside, find:

Tiny Tots class at Circus Arts
Tiny Tots is a class to help kids enjoy the fun of movement.
Kids spend a few minutes warming up and stretching, then take part in activities including:
- obstacle course
- basic tumbling
- mini-tramp
- balance beam
- tight-wire
- low trapeze
- silks
- parachute
Suitable for children 1 to 4 years.
Monday to Saturday, 10am-10.45am
Kindergarten Circus class at Circus Arts
Once the kids are four to five, they can join in this preparation class to focus on skill building.
Kids will build their tumbling skills, and learn:
- the mini trampoline
- low trapeze
- silks
- balancing
- playing with objects
- group dynamics, and
- group games
Monday to Saturday, 11am-11.45am
Circus Arts Party
You can also book a Circus Arts birthday party at Byron Circus school.
A Circus Skills party teaches circus tricks including mini tramp, juggling, hula hoops, tight wire, and aerials for up to 10 kids.
- This one hour party costs $230.
- BYO food and drinks, or ask for the party to be catered on site.
The Clown Around party teaches circus skills, and includes balloon animals, games and your very own clown.
- 1 hour duration.
- $260 for up to 10 kids.

And for those mums and dads who prefer catching up with the news, the on-site Big Top cafe is just the ticket.
Try the homemade pasta, fresh sushi, cakes, or muffins, or sip from a range of lip-smacking drinks and fizzies.
Produce is organic where they can, and there’s lots of vegan options.
The Circus Arts cafe has coffee, chai and tea too.

By Public Transport:
- Bus Route 637 on Blanches Bus Company will bring you to the Byron Arts and Industrial Estate from Byron CBD. The bus takes 13 minutes.
By Bike: Ride your bike from Byron town along the bike track on Ewingsdale Road and Sunrise Blvd. The 5km journey takes 15 minutes.

You can join the Circus Arts school at Byron Circus Arts and study either full time to become a circus professional in 1 year.
Or you can enrol with NICA (National Institute of Circus Arts Australia) in a Bachelor of Circus Arts.
NICA is the only government-accredited institution that provides professional training in contemporary circus arts in Australia, Under the auspices of Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.
